The official world capital of pop music, Liverpool is celebrating 50 years of the Beatles, four of the most iconic figures of the pop world. Throughout the whole of 2012, Liverpool will see extensive musical celebrations of the Beatles’ birthdays, first performances, song and album releases.

The Legendary Cavern Club on Mathew Street where the Beatles once played as an upcoming band, not yet aware of the world-wide fame that awaited them, is of course included in the venue list, although celebratory Beatle events will be taking place in several of Liverpool’s stylish venues around the city.

Tickets for Beatles attractions, performances and tours including general sightseeing city based tours can all be purchased via the Liverpool Tourist Board or online at www.visitliverpool.com. Please note that online visitors may be redirected to the venue website where a particular concert is being held in order to proceed with the booking.
